IGT Showcasing at World Lottery Summit in Montreal, Canada

The World Lottery Summit 2013 has been formulated to produce the best exhibition in the history of the event this weekend in Montreal, Canada from September 9-12. The World Lottery Association (WLA) and the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) are joining forces, as they do every five years, to present their conferences, conventions and trade shows under one grand roof.

One of this year’s highlights is expected to be the presentation of International Game Technology (IGT). IGT is the industry’s leading developer of virtual gaming systems and has continuously set the bar at a whole new level with its innovative designs and features. The company is excited to showcase its latest video lottery terminal technologies in Montreal, Canada.

Eric Tom, Vice President of Global Sales at IGT, expressed that excitement in a statement, saying “IGT is deeply rooted in the video lottery market and is dedicated to meeting the needs of our customers by offering a portfolio of engaging themes for players that also drive revenue. We are happy to be back at the World Lottery Summit to show customers what new products IGT has to deliver.”

IGT is proud to have its hands in all major video lottery markets and has been expanding its global reach to new countries with each passing year. The company’s influence throughout North America has strengthened greatly over the last year alone.

In 2011, IGT was responsible for the launch of Megahits, the first intrastate progressive lottery to be linked area wide via WAP across the US states of Rhode Island, West Virginia and Delaware. The company is already the leading supplier of state-run video lottery terminals across all three states, as well as New York and Maryland. Just recently, IGT integrated 1,600 video lottery terminals in New York’s new Resort World, and another 1,335 in Maryland Live!, where many more terminals are scheduled to be set up in the coming weeks. All told, IGT provides more than 24,000 video lottery terminals in these five states alone.

Also in 2011, IGT got the nod to replace 56.7% of all video lottery terminals at Societe des Lotteries Video du Quebec, providing 7,200 new terminals to Canada players. This agreement directly resulted in one of IGT’s latest contracts that will result in the company’s upcoming provision of online gaming software to EspaceJeux.com, Loto-Quebec’s online casino operation.

Just a few months ago in July of 2013, IGT made headlines again with the announcement of a contract with Columbus, Ohio’s Societe Downs Racino that saw 756 video lottery terminals incorporated there. That move solidified IGT’s position at the top of the virtual lottery gaming food chain in Ohio.

IGT also put its stamp on the Italian market by entering into partnership with Lottomatica, Italy’s leading operator of video lottery terminals, heading a market that is currently reported to generate over 2 billion in revenue annually.

Casino fans all over the world can sample some of IGT’s latest technologies by visiting its newly acquired online casino website, DoubleDownCasino.com, or by playing Double Down Casino on Facebook. It is a 100% free online casino that showcases many of IGT’s most popular social and interactive gaming technologies.
