In today’s working world, there are three types of people – the happily employed, the unhappily employed, and the unemployed. If you happen to fall into one of those latter categories, maybe it’s time to submit an application to the famous Canada casino, Caesars Windsor.
According to a recent in-depth study by Forbes Magazine, you’d be hard pressed to find a better employer in the travel and leisure industry. Caesars Windsor was ranked the best employer in all of Canada in that department, and the 46th overall best employer in the country in 2017.
The selection process is quite unique. Forbes doesn’t take into account the monetary value of a business, it’s longevity or overall popularity as a commercial services provider, (although the size of the company does matter). Instead, it’s ranking data is compiled by providing anonymous questionnaires to current employees.
Such surveys were given to staff members at more than 8,000 large businesses, including Canada casino operators, hotels, factories, airports, universities, internet businesses, and pretty much any other large-scale operation you can imagine.
The employees were asked many questions, including their ever-important sentiment towards how likely they would be to recommend the employer to others seeking a job, and their overall opinions of other employers in similar fields of work.
Caesars Windsor was incredibly proud of its ranking, and quick to announce the accolade in a news release on Wednesday. The popular Canada casino said it’s a great supporter of its staff, providing training programs, progressive development initiatives, and encouraging them to give back to the local community through volunteer work and charitable undertakings.
The casino company’s volunteer program, Helping Employees Reach Out (HERO), saw employees of the casino contributing an impressive 4,600 hours of volunteer work at over 70 HERO events in 2016.
“It is an honour to be recognized on a national level as one of Canada’s best employers,” extolled Kevin Laforet, Regional President of Caesars Entertainment, in yesterday’s news release. He went on to laud the casino’s incomparable staff for their hard work and devotion to the company.
“This award celebrates our talented and dedicated employees who work towards our vision to create memorable experiences, personalized rewards and delight every guest, every team member, every time,” he said.
About Caesars Windsor, Ontario, Canada Casino
Located on Windsor’s riverfront overlooking the beautiful Detroit skyline near Ontario’s end of the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel, Caesars Windsor (then Casino Windsor) first opened its doors with a single, 23-story “Forum” hotel tower in 1998. Ten years alter, the 27-story “Augustus” tower was erected, more than doubling the property’s capacity and bringing its annual visitor numbers to an estimated 6 million.
While the Canada casino is publicly owned by the local government, via the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), it’s managed by Caesars Entertainment, one of the oldest and most respected casino conglomerates in the world.
The massive gambling resort is home to a 100,000 square foot casino floor, packed with thousands of slot machines and table games, a live poker room, a racebook, and the nation’s very first licenced sportsbook, located in the Canada casino’s Legends Sports Bar since 2006.
